Eldon's Kassidy Hull takes third straight match medalist honor

Eldon's Kassidy Hull is on a roll.

The Mustang freshman earned match medalist in her third straight event Monday night in a quad with rival Osage, Blair Oaks and Crocker at Eldon Golf Club where she posted the best individual score with a 9-hole round of 42.

Blair Oaks won the event with a team score of 187, followed by Eldon with 209 points, Osage with 230 and Crocker with 242.

Eldon's Bri Henderson shot a 56 for the Mustangs, Wendi Dunstan posted a 53, Meladee Strickland put up a 58 and Emalee Bennett rounded out the scoring with a 61.

"The girls are still playing well," Eldon coach Matt Frey said. "We only have a few more matches and one tournament before districts."

School of the Osage was led by Emily Maher who finished her day with a score of 53 while Sidney Riley posted her best 9-hole round of the year with a score of 54 and Maddie Yoder did the same with a round of 60.

"We are making progress and getting better," Osage coach L.J. Weeks said of his crew. "They like the game, they want to get better, they get along well and that is exciting. The scores were not great, but I have five girls competing and that is a step in the right direction. Some have played fairly well for beginners."

Osage was scheduled to take on the California Tournament on Tuesday and the Indians will be back home on Thursday at Osage National to square off with Eldon again and Russellville. Tee time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
