Camdenton falls to West Plains

Camdenton hosted Ozark Conference foe West Plains Thursday night and it was a tough night for the Lakers who lost three-set battle. The Zizzers took the first set 25-23, the Lakers took the second 25-19 and the visitors closed it out with a 25-19 in the third game.

Megan Vest paced the Camdenton attack with 10 kills while Madison VanderPloeg finished with seven and Kylie Meier added five. Vest also had four aces and Abbie Miller put up a team-leading 26 assists.

Meier and Grace Wormek kept the team fighting with 12 digs each, VanderPloeg added nine and Miller put up eight.

Camdenton (1-3) will look to rebound with a trip to Kickapoo on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

Eldon comes up short against California

Eldon hosted California Thursday night and dropped two sets by final scores of 25-21 and 25-20.

Grace Baucom had 11 kills to lead the Mustangs and Leah Stichler added 16 assists. Defensively, Baucom and Bailey Farris finished with seven digs and Dakota Graham added five.

Eldon (3-2) hosts Blair Oaks Tuesday at 6 p.m.
