Eldon downs Mexico in two-set road win
Eldon took a trip up Highway 54 Tuesday night for a battle with the Bulldogs of Mexico. The Mustangs took care of business with a two-set win by final scores of 25-20 and 25-21.
Grace Baucom put some quick points up on the board with four aces and Camryn Mueller had an effective serve as well with three aces of her own. Leah Stichler put up 11 assists and Baucom made the most of those passes with a team-leading seven kills. Dakota Graham also did her part offensively adding five kills respectively.
On the defensive end, Graham kept the Bulldogs at bay with six digs while Mueller and Baucom added five of their own.
Eldon (3-1) will host California on Thursday night for a Tri-County Conference showdown at 5:30 p.m.
Osage picks up second straight win in battle with Cole Camp
School of the Osage has begun a winning streak and it is one the Indians would like to extend.
After Monday night’s two-set win over Plato, Osage went the distance and came out on top in a three-set battle with Cole Camp. The Indians lost the first game 28-26 and took the last two by final scores of 25-13 and 25-20.
Carson Wood, who paced Osage Monday night with 12 kills, was back at it again with 11 kills against Cole Camp respectively. Karli Kempf put up six kills of her own and Rose Colonius put up some quick points with four aces.
Osage improves to 4-1 on the year and will visit Versailles Thursday night at 5 p.m.
