Osage comes up short at Blair Oaks
School of the Osage took a trip to Tri-County Conference foe Blair Oaks Thursday night and lost in a two-set match by final scores of 28-26 and 25-16.
“It was a close one and I am sad that our girls came up short at Blair Oaks,” Osage coach Travis Squire said. “But I am so very proud of the fight that we brought to the game. We will have an opportunity to see Blair Oaks again this year and we are now looking forward to some revenge.”
Osage senior setter Rose Colonius kept her team fighting leading the team in digs and junior Carson Wood paced the Indians with 100 percent serving and three aces while also leading the attack with seven kills.
Osage (2-1) hosted Plato Monday night and will host Cole Camp on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
Eldon downs Warsaw in two sets
Eldon played host to Warsaw in Tri-County Conference action Thursday night and the Mustangs defended home court with a two-set win by final scores of 25-13 and 25-19.
Eldon's Camyrn Mueller put some quick points on the board for the Mustangs with a team-leading three aces while Leah Stichler fueled the attack with 15 assists and Grace Baucom put up 11 kills while Dakota Graham added six of her own respectively.
On the defensive end, Graham kept the Wildcats at bay with five digs while Bailey Farris and Addie Davis each recorded three of their own.
Eldon improves to 2-1 on the season and will visit Mexico for a Highway 54 battle Tuesday night at 5:30 p.m.
Versailles takes down Tipton
Versailles hosted Tipton Thursday night and it was a good night for the Tigers as they defeated the visiting Cardinals in a three-set battle.
Versailles dropped the first set 25-18, but came storming back with 25-17 wins to close it out.
The Tigers (2-0) will visit Warrensburg on Monday at 5 p.m.
