Camdenton advances to district title game in win over Warrensburg
Camdenton had no problem dispatching Warrensburg in the opening round of district play Monday night in Jefferson City.
The Lakers defeated Warrensburg 6-1 earlier in the season and took down the Tigers by the same margin in the second meeting to advance to the district championship game.
“We played well, controlled the game and made some good progress,” Camdenton coach Chris Byington said. “We’re really looking forward to Wednesday.”
Camdenton’s Natalie Schulte recorded a hat trick with three goals to lead the Laker attack while Aeryn Kennedy netted two goals and Ireland Betta scored a goal of her own.
Camdenton (12-6-1) will take on host Helias Catholic (11-10) for the district title on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
Osage cruises past Saint James for spot in district title game
School of the Osage will be fighting for a district title on Wednesday night.
The Indians took on St. James in the opening round of district play and dominated with a 5-1 win over the Tigers.
Osage spreaded the ball around offensively as Morgan Breneman knocked in two goals while Savannah Foster, Emily Kostuke and Rachel Cicerelli all found the back of the net as well.
“It was a great game against a team we never played before,” Osage coach Angela Libby stated. “We are excited to play in the district championship.”
The Indians improved to 8-14 on the year with the win and will take on host Southern Boone (22-1-1) for the district title on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
