Eldon explodes offensively in win over Tipton

Eldon did not forget to bring the bats in a win at Tipton on Tuesday night.

The Mustangs offense was alive and well as they went on to enjoy a 25-3 win in five innings over the Cardinals.

Eldon collected 18 total hits and the bat of Jasey Brandt led the way as he collected three of them on his way to a team-leading six RBIs. Adam Neighbors and Corbin Harrison added four RBIs each, Austin Pipes and Darian Mergelkamp put up another three RBIs each, Tate Warny collected two RBIs and Kaiden Mays along with Trenton Kidwell picked up an RBI respectively.

On the mound, the pitching trio of Rodriguez, Pipes and Neighbors allowed just three hits while walking six batters and striking out seven.

Eldon (11-7, 5-2 Tri-County Conference) will wrap up the regular season with a trip to Iberia on Thursday night at 5 p.m. Then the Mustangs will travel to Marshfield on Saturday to take on the host Jays (8-11) in district action at 11 a.m.

Camdenton cruises by Versailles

Camdenton jumped back in the win column Tuesday night.

After a tough 5-0 loss to Helias Catholic on Monday, the Lakers turned around and picked up a 12-2 win at Versailles in six innings Tuesday night.

The Lakers collected 17 total hits as a team as Parker Stidham, Garrison Twitchell and Dylan Thompson collected two RBIs each while Austin Carter, Riley Stidham, Austin Stamper, Connor Loge and Nathan Pasley collected an RBI as well.

The pitching duo of Stamper and Kody Koon got the job done for Camdenton as they combined to allow five total hits and two walks while striking out seven.

The Tigers scored both of their runs in the third inning as Bryce Kephart collected one of the runs with a hit. Taylor Dobbins, Clyde Hoxworth, Andy Clemens and Colby Boicourt recorded the other hits for Versailles.

Meanwhile, the pitching duo of Kaden McGinnis and Kade Marriot combined to allow eight earned runs while giving up five walks and striking out four.

Camdenton (9-15, 3-6 Ozark Conference) concludes their regular season with a win and will take on Rock Bridge (17-9) in the first round of district play in Jefferson City on Saturday at 12 p.m. versailles (5-12, 0-6 Tri-County Conference) will get ready for postseason play against Warsaw (8-10) in the first round of districts on Friday in California. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
