Camdenton athletes take on the Ozark Conference

Conference bragging rights were on the line Friday night as Camdenton played host to nine other schools making up the Ozark Conference. At the end of the night, the girls finished third with 107 team points trailing Kickapoo (154) and Lebanon (118). Meanwhile, the Camdenton boys finished sixth with 56 points while West Plains took the conference title with 116 points respectively.

The Lakers will be back on their home turf Saturday for postseason action as they host the district meet at a time yet to be determined.

Macks Creek track and field advances athletes to sectionals

A couple of track and field athletes from Macks Creek will see their season continue.

The Pirates were in Class 1 district action at Russellville on Saturday against 16 other teams fighting to keep their season alive and take another step closer to state. The top four finishers in each event advanced to the sectional meet and Macks Creek’s Braden Bowman and Xabier Montez were among them and are now just one step away from the state meet. Overall, Macks Creek finished 12th in the final team standings with 15 points.
