Rogers and Grisham share title of match medalist

Eldon was a cohesive unit Tuesday night.

The Mustangs played host to Stover, Iberia and Fulton and cruised with a team score of 174 while second-place Stover put up 212.

“It was nice to see all five boys put together respectable rounds. No matter where they stand on the team, they are doing their best every match to try and help the team with the best score they can provide,” Eldon coach Matt Frey said. “The thing I notice about the team this year is how they pick each other up and the comradery they have with each other.”

Eldon’s Spencer Rogers and Austyn Grisham shared the title of match medalist as the pair posted the best score of the night with a 9-hole round of 41 each. Christian Potucek shot a 44, Austin Kostelinik put up 48 and Cole Kliethermes scored a 49.

“Christian had his best round of the season last night and that helped the team shoot a few strokes better,” Frey added.

The Mustangs will be back on the course for the Boonville Tournament on Thursday at 9 a.m.
