Eldon cruises by Russellville

The Eldon bats were alive and well Tuesday night.

The Mustangs hosted Russellville and exploded offensively, topping the visitors 12-2 in six innings.

The bats of Austin Pipes and Drew Rodriguez provided three hits and three RBIs each to lead the Mustangs while both players hit a home run as well. Tate Warny recorded two RBIs and Darian Mergelkamp, Jasey Brandt, Corbin Harrison and Kaiden Mays all brought home a run as well. Overall, the team finished with 16 hits on the night.

On the mound, the trio of Mergelkamp, Dawson Brandt and Harrison proved tough to beat as the th ree combined to allow two runs on four hits while walking seven batters and striking out nine.

Eldon (4-1) will visit rival Osage on Monday at 4:30 p.m.

Camdenton shutout by Glendale

Camdenton hosted Ozark Conference foe Glendale Tuesday night and it was a tough night for the Lakers as they fell by a final score of 7-0.

The Falcons plated a single run in the second and third innings, brought home three in the fourth and plated two more in the seventh.

The Lakers were held to just three hits at the plate coming from Brandon Pasley, Parker Stidham and Nathan Pasley. Camdenton batters only struck out on four occasions as a team, but just could not find any openings.

Brogun Betta got the start for the Lakers and the pitcher took the loss allowing five runs on seven hits while walking two and striking out one in five innings of work. Cameron Rhoades came in relief for the final two innings and allowed two runs on two hits while walking and striking out one batter.

Camdenton (5-4) will look to turn things around against rival Waynesville on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
