Versailles jumped back in the win column with a 76-63 win at Warsaw Tuesday night.
The Tigers and Wildcats were all tied up at 36 at the half, but a strong third quarter gave Versailles an advantage they would not give up the rest of the night as they outscored their opponent 16 to 7.
"Our defensive effort in the second half was great, especially in the 3rd quarter," Versailles coach Jason Ollison said. "I am very proud of the effort and attention to detail tonight from our guys. We executed the game plan very well and I am hopeful that tonight will give us the spingboard into districts that we need."
Shane Randall and Jonathan Geier knocked won 18 points each to lead Versailles while Coby Williams chipped in 17 and Hunter Edgar added 12.
The win puts the Tigers at 10-14 on the season and 2-4 in the Tri-County Conference. Versailles will play host to Eldon in its regular season finale on Friday night at 8 p.m.
