School of the Osage got off to a quick start and never looked back in a trip to Buffalo Tuesday night.

The Indians jumped out to a 24-3 lead and went on to enjoy a 62-32 win when the clock hit zero.

“We came out with a lot of energy and defensive pressure,” Osage coach Kevin Schnicker stated. “We attacked them offensively early and never really looked back and were able to execute both offensively and defensively the rest of the way.”

Osage’s Keyton Knamiller and Drake Gaines paced the Indian offense with 11 points each while Dalton Depeé added 10, Payton Bartlett added nine and James McCann chipped in eight respectively.

Schnicker said he was pleased with the communication throughout the night as his club enjoyed balanced scoring, unselfish play and four players drawing a charge before the night was through. The coach is looking forward to seeing his club continue to make strides forward.

“We will continue to work hard and look to improve throughout the season,” he stated.

Osage (8-4) will play host to Tri-County Conference foe California on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
