Lakers Closet fashion show
Posted April 25, 2013
Students strutted down a purple runway during the Lakers Closet fashion show.
The Lakers Closet originated from custodian Libby West when she asked if items not claimed in the lost and found could go to students in need. Within a year, the little idea has turned into a community operation. Lakers Closet now has its own room filled with clothes, shoes, food and hygiene supplies. Students are referred to the Lakers Closet from the counselor's office. When a staff member sees that a student is in need, they are allowed to visit the Lakers Closet and pick out what they need at no cost.
The fashion show introduced Lakers Closet to the entire student body.
