WestSide resident Bill Lagergren is pictured in front of the sign at Millard’s Lucky Point on the Gravois Arm across the cove from Redwood Resort (now Redwood Condominiums) down Lake Road Y-12 in September of 1956 at the age of 17. Millard’s Lucky Point is now the site of the Jolly Roger Bar & Grill. While he and a friend were trying to drive all around the lake that day, the engine blew on Bill’s 1949 Chevrolet in Eldon.
