The 22nd annual Osage River Mountain Man Rendezvous and Muzzleloader Shoot is this weekend at the Silver Star Campground below Bagnell Dam.

Rendezvous traders, trappers, gunsmiths, artisans, storytellers and others will depict frontier life from the first half of the 1800s.

The air will be filled with anvil shoots and booming cannons from 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday.

Trader's Row marketplace will have items on sale, including jams, pottery, soaps and more.

Historical re-enactors will be on hand to show visitors what mountain men may have looked and dressed like back in the 19th century.

Men and women will both compete in black powder shoots and tomahawk, knife throwing and fire starting contests.

New to the event is the Mountain Man Farmers' Market, planned for Saturday morning.

Admission is $5 for adults and free for children ages 15 and younger, with an adult admission. The admission cover the entire weekend.

The festival is open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday.
