Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital opened in 1978. The 90-bed hospital was 78,000 square feet. Cancer treatment, cardiac care and now with the addition of the designation as a Level II Stroke Center, treatments that were once available only by traveling to larger cities are now available right here at Lake of the Ozarks.
