Let's help Representative Wood save this lake. Because of the number of boaters, we have to have some rules. It is only common sense.

Wow!

After reading Amy Wilson's article in regards to a wake bill filed by Representative Wood, I must thank him for caring enough to save this lake. I hope all the people who care about a safe and enjoyable lake for everyone get behind Representative Wood and support him.

I have time and time again heard that our politicians do not support legislation to control the operation of big boats because the "money people" do not want it. By "money people" I would think they are referring to the big marina people who sell these behemoth boats. I would like to be clear on this: I think the big marina people are a necessary and integral part of our lake's economy.

As I have said in previous letters I have submitted, if I had the money I would possibly have one of these boats myself. It is the rude operators of these big boats who are spoiling it for everyone. These people must adhere to some solid rules and regulations that make this lake safe for everyone.

How many times have you heard a local say, "I only boat during the week when the crazies aren't here." Even a local businessman who works on this lake every day and probably knows more about the conditions of this lake than anyone calls this lake "The Lake of the Ocean" in his commercials.

Let's help Representative Wood save this lake. Because of the number of boaters, we have to have some rules. It is only common sense.
