Lake Regional Health System for its planned renovations to Lake Regional Hospital as well as its ongoing expansions to clinics throughout the region. LRHS announced three phases of remodeling for the hospital that will begin Aug. 21 and continue at least through the end of the year.

LRHS just celebrated the opening of an occupational medicine clinic in Lebanon and will also be celebrating the opening of its expanded clinic in Eldon on Aug. 26.

Missouri Dawgs 18U softball team. This group of girls from Camdenton and Macks Creek won the Heartland World Series title in Kansas City over the weekend. Nice work!

the revival of community spirit in Versailles. While it was never gone, it has recently seen a resurgence in real action. From a town cleanup and a planned downtown mural to an upcoming Meet the Tigers Night as Friday night football prepares to open for the season, several residents in a couple of different groups have been taking the lead to promote community and school spirit.

The school district board of education very publicly considered a move out of its long-time Tri-County Conference due in part to a shrinking population and subsequent struggle to compete. We wish them well in their endeavors.

former Gov. Jay Nixon for overspending by far the legislative-allotted spending on your office, mansion and security in 2015 and 2016. He then compounded things by trying to shift and cover up these expenses to other agencies tasked with working for the betterment of the state.
