Colton Tanner Thurman, 4, of Camdenton, Mo., passed away surrounded by his family Oct. 31, 2009 at his home. He fought a tough battle with cancer.
He was born Feb. 2, 2005, in Creve Coeur, Mo. to Donald Thurman, Jr. and Amanda Pasinski.
He was diagnosed with a brain tumor earlier this year. Even though he was sick, he was a happy child.
Colton loved Shrek, arts and crafts, the outdoors and wildlife and especially McDonalds. He will be dearly missed. He was given an honorary black belt and became an honorary member of the Lake Ozark Fire Protection District this year.
Survivors include his mother Amanda Pasinski, of Camdenton; his father Donald Thurman, Jr.; grandfather Donald Thurman Sr. and his wife Karen Thurman, of St. Clair.; grandfather Kevin McDaniel of Catawissa, Mo.; grandmother Margret Welch of Barnett, Mo.; great-grandmother Patsy McDaniel; brother Blake Thurman; nephew, great-nephew, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by Shirley and Vernon Welch, Dale McDaniel; Loyd and Virginia Spicer; William "Bill" Thurman and Lucille Thurman.
Visitation will be held after 3 p.m. at the Russell Colonial Chapel in St. Clair, Mo. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4. Interment in Crestview Memorial Park.
A balloon memorial and celebration of life following interment. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Lake of the Ozarks.
