George Allen Cummins, age 79, of Gravois Mills, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at his home.  He was born January 24, 1933, in Muskegon Heights, Michigan, a son of the late Barry Max and Dorothy Ann Behrens Cummins.
 
On June 10, 1987, in San Diego, California, he was united in marriage to Teresa Cooper, who survives at their home.
 
George was an Army Airborne veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.
 
He was a gifted mechanic who was able to fix anything but his mortal body.
 
In addition to his wife, Teresa, he is survived by his sons, George Allen Cummins, Jr. of Marble Falls, Texas, Clayton Dwayne Cummins, George Whalen Cummins of Springfield, Missouri, and Jason Behrens Cummins serving in the U.S. Army in Honolulu, Hawaii; his daughters, Lavonne Alene Cummins of Pocahontas, Arkansas, April Dawn Barten of California State, Amy (Nobles) Neal of Kansas City, Missouri, and Stephanie Leanne Cummins of Gravois Mills, Missouri; several grandchildren; his brother, Frank Cummins and wife Pat of Pocahontas, Arkansas; his sisters, Maxine Fuller of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Dorothy Thomas of Coupland, Texas, and Pat (Jones) Halla of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Clifford Lee Cummins, his brothers, Bill Cummins and Clarence Cummins, and his sister, Edna Collins.
 
A celebration of George’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 25, at the Crossroad Church in Sunrise Beach.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.  Expressions of sympathy may be left online at www.kidwellgarber.com.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
