Donna L. West, age 76, of Sunrise Beach, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born April 15, 1935, in Armourdale, Kansas, the daughter of the late Herman and Mary Wheeler Taylor.
On February 26, 1954, in Kansas City, Kansas, she was united in marriage to Ellis West, Jr., who preceded her in death on November 20, 2011.
Donna worked at Sony as a secretary for many years.
She is survived by her children, Diana West of Sunrise Beach, Terry West of Kansas City, Missouri, and Rebecca West and Lisa West and husband Drew Frost both of Sunrise Beach; her grandchildren, Jason, Venessa, and Kendra; her great-grandchildren, Logan, Jaydyn, and Madalynn; her brother, Dean Taylor of Chandler, Arizona; her sister, Vicki Sabaugh of Mesa, Arizona; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, in the Garber Memorial Estates Cemetery in Laurie. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m., Friday, at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Donna West Memorial Fund in care of Lisa West. Expressions of sympathy may be left online at www.kidwellgarber.com.
