89, homemaker’s family includes health profesionals

Our beloved mother, Mary Madge Jones Geisser, died June 29, 2009, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Mo. We treasured all our days with her and miss her dearly, but we know there was great joy in Heaven when she was welcomed home.
She was born Feb. 16, 1920, to Charles Elmer and Nora Alice (Wynes) Jones. She was part of a close, loving family of four girls and four boys. She loved them so much and had to say goodbye to each one who preceded her in death; Clifford, Lewis, Flora, John, Ruby, Wilma and Bill.
She graduated from Stockton High School in Stockton, Mo.
On Sept. 2, 1939, she and Leland Don Geisser were married. They made their home in Bartlesville, Okla., where Leland worked for Purina Feed Company and Madge made a home for her family; Janice Claudine, Donna Lee, and Frances Ann.
They returned home to Stockton where they owned and operated the MFA Service Station. After Leland’s death in 1968, she made her home in Kansas City and later Camdenton, Mo., near her daughters and grandchildren.
Mother dearly loved her family. She was a good friend and a tender, caring, supportive, loyal, kind, compassionate, trustworthy and steadfast person.
She blessed our lives with her joy and laughter. Her life was a rich treasure of love, an example always to her children and grandchildren.
Her family includes Janice Clemons and husband Bill (deceased) and daughters, Dr. Becky and Dean Simpson, son Jesse, Carrie and Kevin Viebrock and children Michael and Meri, and April and Randy Gamel; Dr. Chris and Donna Fotopoulos and sons, Dr. Lan and Maria Fotopoulos, and Christopher and Kristen Fotopoulos, and children Eleni and Demetri; Dr. Neale and Frances Johnson and children, Dr. Ryan and Jennifer Johnson and children, Hannah and Finn, and Ashley and Chris Zarda and son Neale; Irene O’Neal Sparks, cousin and life-long friend; many nieces, nephews and several other relatives and friends.
The following thoughts were special to mother and she requested that we share them at this time:
“For those I love and those who loved me. When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do. You mustn’t tie yourself to me with tears. Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love. You can only guess how much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love each have shown. But now it’s time I traveled on alone. So grieve awhile for me if grieve you must. Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It’s only for awhile that we must part. So bless the memories within your heart. I won’t be far away, for life goes on. So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be near. And if you listen with your heart, you’ll hear, all of my love around you soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way along, I’ll greet you with a smile and “Welcome Home.”
Graveside services and burial will be Friday July 3, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Mound Cemetery in Filley, Mo.
Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.hedgesscottfuneralhomes.com. Arrangements have been placed under the care of the Hedges-Scott Funeral Home of Camdenton.
