48, artisan made beautiful stained glass pieces for family and friends
Lynne Lamoine Hesterlee Furnell, 48, of Laurie, formerly of Sedalia, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at her home.
She was born March 19, 1961, in St. Joseph, Mo., the daughter of Grace Lamoine Eakins and Lowell Leslie Hesterlee.
A graduate of Smith-Cotton’s class of 1979, she loved playing the drums in the high school band.
She received her Associate Arts Degree, in Fine Arts, from State Fair Community College, and continued her love of art, working as an artisan in making beautiful stained glass pieces for family and friends.
She was married to David Furnell and together they had two children, Erica Lamoine and Jordon Jennifer. The years between 1990 and 2006 she was active in school activities and PTA. She was devoted to raising her daughters.
From her teens into adulthood, she and her father, Lowell, shared a love for old cars. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In high school she lettered in tennis, band, and basketball. After high school she became an avid golfer. In 1997, she was the Ladies Club Champion at the Sedalia Country Club.
Hobbies included photography, travel and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks. She was a Disney and Mickey Mouse collector and a Jimmy Buffett fan.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, and the family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Sedalia.
Services will be Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Broadway Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Harvel Sanders officiating. Pallbearers will be Scott Bradberry, Terry Mooney, Terry Storts, Chris Squires, Clayton Alcorn, Terry Arnold, George Esser and Steve Sheeley.
Lynne is survived by her parents, Grace and Lowell Hesterlee, Sedalia; her two daughters Erica (Brendan) Eisenmenger, Sedalia and Jordon Furnell, Columbia, Mo.; three brothers Gevan Hesterlee, Seattle, Wash., Brian Hesterlee, Barnett, and Brent (Rachelle) Hesterlee, Lenexa, Kan.; one grandson, Beckett Eisenmenger, Sedalia, and two nieces Melaina Hesterlee and Madalyn Hesterlee and one nephew Joseph Hesterlee.
