Sarah Ann Carr, age 59, of Sunrise Beach, passed away Friday, January 27, 2012, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach.  She was born December 21, 1952, in Newark, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Raymond and Alice White Male.

 She was united in marriage On January 24, 1994, in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, to Francis J. Carr, who survives of the home.

 Sarah received her bachelor’s degree from Iowa State, and her master’s degree from the University of Missouri.

 She worked for the Missouri Division of Worker’s Compensation, and several private companies in the field of medical cost containment. In her second career, as an image consultant and style coach, she worked closely with a number of organizations around the lake.  She was also a highly regarded sales associate for Coldwater Creek.

 Sarah was a member of the Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church in Laurie where she enjoyed singing, was a vocalist for the Lake Area Chorale, a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, was a volunteer for Women to Women, and was a member of the local Newcomer and Longtimer Social Organization. She was very active in the local chapter of The Dream Factory.

In addition to her husband, Francis, she is survived by her sons, John Doelling and fiancée Andria Smith of St. Louis, Missouri, Francis Carr and wife Lori of Downers Grove, Illinois, and Lt. Col. Michael J. Carr and wife Cathy of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; her daughter, Christine Drogemeuller and husband Mark of Chicago, Illinois; seven grandchildren with one on the way; her brother, David Male of Cleveland, Ohio; her sisters, Laura Troisi of Boston, Massachusetts and Susan Radulovitch of Patchogue, New York; and several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

 A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 30, at the Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Rick White officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel and from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Monday, at the Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church.  Inurnment will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church.
