Rachel was a homemaker and a member of Women’s Auxiliary VFW Post 6514 in Kaiser, Missouri. Then she transferred membership to VFW Post 5923 in Camdenton, Missouri. She was also an active member of Osage Beach Elks Lodge #2517.
Rachel Arnold, age 97, of Camdenton passed away on Monday, October 9 at Windsor Estate in Camdenton.
Rachel was born on March 18, 1920 in Green County, Kentucky at home.
On June 12, 1948 she was joined in marriage to Merle Monroe Arnold, in Fort Knox, Kentucky. They shared 45 years of marriage at the time of his death on January 23, 1993.
Rachel was a homemaker and a member of Women’s Auxiliary VFW Post 6514 in Kaiser, Missouri. Then she transferred membership to VFW Post 5923 in Camdenton, Missouri. She was also an active member of Osage Beach Elks Lodge #2517. Some of her favorite things to do were reading, crocheting, playing bingo and volunteering at the Animal Shelter.
Rachel is survived by her granddaughter Bobbi Winn; her grandson Nicky Winn; her great granddaughter Sidney Winn and many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband Merle “Pops” Arnold; daughter Yvonne Winn; five brothers and three sisters.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 127 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, Osage Beach. Friends will be welcomed for visitation from 9:30-11 a.m. prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. at Fort Leonard Wood Veteran Cemetery in Waynesville, Missouri.
