He was a loyal husband and father. William was devoted to God and deeply connected with his religious community throughout his adult life. William was wonderful story teller and a keen observer of the people and places in his life.

William Atwell Lee passed away at home in Royal Oaks, California on June 19. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family.

William was born on September 2, 1934 in Mount Vernon Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his father Attwell Vaughn Lee; mother Lillian Lee; and spouse Beverly Ann Lee.

He is survived by his brother Carl Lee; sons Stephen, Ronald and William Lee Jr.; and grandson Ian Lee.

William attended grade school in Lynn Creek and High School in Camdenton. He received both Bachelors and Master degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri, and worked for the Missouri Highway Department and Water Resources Board.

Later, he and his wife Beverly, moved to Lincoln Nebraska where they raised their children. William worked for many years for the Nebraska Health Department and ended his career with the Army Corps of Engineers. William and Beverly moved to California in 2001 to be closer to family.

William was wonderful story teller and a keen observer of the people and places in his life. He loved music, reading and baseball. William was a man who moved through life at his own pace and will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be conducted from 12-2 p.m. on Sunday, July 9 at Tsemach Adonai, 16735 Lark Ave, Los Gatos, CA 95032.
