The Lake of the Ozarks Watershed Alliance, LOWA, is hosting two paddle events. The first event is a 91-mile marathon, flat water paddle race, for kayaks and canoes Saturday, Sept. 25 and Sunday, Sept. 26. The race is from Truman Dam to Bagnell Dam with $13,500 in prize money. The second event is a 14 mile, “Just For Fun” recreational paddle on Saturday, Sept. 25. Since this is the first year of the annual event they will take last minute registrations.

The first day’s standings will be an announced after the paddle Saturday, September 25 at a “Clean Water Festival” at Captain Ron’s. The festival is a celebration of the lake for everyone, those who are supporting the paddlers, and those just enjoying the lake. The festival will feature live entertainment, food and booths.

The 2 Dam Days marathon starts at daylight at Drake Harbor in Warsaw.
The Just For Fun paddle starts 10 a.m. at the Halfway Inn Gravois Mills on the 48 mile marker.
The Clean Water Festival starts at 3 p.m. at Captain Ron’s in Sunrise Beach on the 34 Mile marker.
The 2 Dam Days marathon second day starts 8 a.m. Sunday, September 26 at Captain Ron’s.
The 2 Dam Days marathon end point is at Iguana Watersports in Lake Ozark on the 1 mile marker.
The Clean Water Festival continues 3 to 6 p.m. on the Bagnell Dam Strip in Lake Ozark.
The 2 Dam Days marathon awards ceremony occurs 3 p.m. Sunday, September 26 at the Bagnell Dam Strip stage across from Iguana Watersports.
