A Fort Meyers, Fla. man was killed in a head on collision and two others were seriously injured.
Victor S. Torres, 36, was killed in the accident on Highway 5 about a mile north of Potter Hill Spring Road on Friday, Dec. 19.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Torres was driving a 1988 Dodge Dakota north at 7:25 p.m. when he crossed the center line and hit a 2004 Chevrolet driven by Dean L. Garske, 60, of Warrensburg. Torres was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both Dean and a passenger, Kathy Garske, 56, also of Warrensburg were seriously injured. They were taken to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment. They were wearing seat belts.
The highway patrol report indicates Torres was not wearing a seat belt.
