Why you should attend
Friends of the Food Pantry, the Westside Singles Group, are putting on this event, which is a fundraiser for Share the Harvest Food Pantry. All proceeds will be donated to the Greenview not-for-profit.
"This will be the social highlight of the season on this side of the Lake," says Share the Harvest spokesperson Mary Jo Doores. "The restaurants are thrilled to be showcasing their food. Come out and taste what the area has to offer."
Coconuts will also be providing margaritas for a cash donation, she says.
In addition to the music and dancing, food and fun, the event is celebrating the building of the pantry's new facility at the junction of State Route EE and Highway 7. The new building will help the pantry better serve its Camden County clientele.
"Come see what all the excitement is about. See the building in process. People step in and they go, 'Wow,'" said Doores, who is the building coordinator.
