During a conference call Wednesday afternoon, Gov. Jay Nixon expressed anger with the Department of Natural Resources for the handling of issues surrounding E. coli in the Lake of the Ozarks.

Nixon said his office was given false statements by DNR about when public beaches were closed.

DNR director Mark Templeton has been placed on unpaid administrative leave for two weeks starting immediately, Nixon said.

Additionally, Nixon said a "deep look into DNR is absolutely necessary," and he is "angrier than words can describe."
