A driver and her passenger were both killed in a one-vehicle accident just after it turned midnight Christmas morning.
Lisa S. Burgdorf, 40 of Camdenton, lost control of the vehicle she was driving on a curve on State Road A just south of State Road E.
The 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier was traveling south. It crossed the centerline and traveled off the roadway before overturning several times.
Burgdorf and a passenger, 19-year-old Benjamin Z. Thompson, of Laurie, were both ejected.
Neither were wearing seat belts, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol report. The accident happened at 12:10 a.m. Dec. 25.
Burgdorf was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:20 a.m. by acting coroner deputy John Stephens.
Thompson was taken to St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Mo., where he was pronounced dead at 3:35 a.m.
In a seperate accident on Dec. 25, around 7:30 a.m., patrolmen responded to another one-vehicle accident, this time on Cup Tree Road, approximately four miles west of Route 135.
Dale B. Arnold, 50 of Gravois Mills, was driving a 1999 Ford westbound on Cup Tree Road when he drove off the right side and overcorrected. The vehicle skidded off the left side of the road and overturned before coming to rest in a creek.
Arnold was flown by Staff For Life helicopter to Lake Regional Health Systems in Osage Beach for moderate injuries.
He was wearing his seat belt.
