Three separate incidents, two involving personal water craft and the third a canoe, occurred over the weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks, causing injury to passengers.
At just after 5 p.m. Saturday, June 20, two 16-year-old passengers were riding on a PWC when they hit a wave and were thrown into the air.
Upon landing, one passenger, Molly Khoury of Lea

The PWC’s operator, Alex Chartrand, of Olathe, Kan., was not injured. This incident occurred at the 10-mile marker near Sunrise Beach. Khoury was taken to Lake Regional Hospital with moderate injuries.
Another incident occurred at about 8 p.m. Friday, at the 54-mile marker near Laurie when 60-year-old Marvin Main of Kansas City, Kan., was riding his PWC. His leg became caught in the water, causing him to fall from the craft. He was taken to Lake Regional Hospital with moderate injuries.
A 12-year-old passenger from Camdenton involved in a canoe incident on the Niangua River was taken to Lake Regional Hospital with moderate injuries after the canoe he was riding in capsized.
