A two-vehicle accident in Camden County at about 9 a.m. Friday caused serious injuries to an Edwards man after the 1990 Nissan he was driving struck a 200 International Straight truck on Route 7, 1 1/2-miles south of Route J, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Ronald J. Wynn, 67, was flown to Lake Regional Hospital after his southbound Nissan crossed the center line and hit the truck’s left rear tire, causing the truck to run off the road and into several trees.
The Nissan came to a rest, blocking both lanes of Route 7.
A passenger in the truck, Josh A. Pickel, 19, was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital with minor injuries. Heath A. Lundh, 19, was the truck’s driver.
None of the listed were reported as wearing seat belts.
