(AP) — Three Springfield men have been charged in the weekend shooting deaths of three people in southwest Missouri.
The Laclede County Sheriff’s Office said Monday that Steven Thomas Pyykola, 18, and Jacky Wong, 21, were charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Zachary Bryan Porter, 25, of Elkland; Jeffrey Smith, 51, and Smith’s wife, Glenda Smith, 48, of Laclede County.
Pyykola and Wong also face three counts each of armed criminal action and burglary, according to the sheriff’s office.
Josh Reyes, 23, was charged earlier with first-degree murder in the death of Porter, who was dating Reyes’ former girlfriend, Miranda Smith. She is the slain couple’s daughter. Police said Reyes and Miranda Smith have two children.
The three men were being held in the Laclede County jail without bond and jail officials didn’t know Monday whether they had lawyers.
The Smiths were found shot to death at their home in Laclede County early Saturday. A probable cause statement released Monday said authorities were called to the Smith’s home by a neighbor who had been asked by Miranda Smith to check on her parents.
