A highway stop resulted in deputies from the Camden County Sheriff's Office arresting 3 subjects on charges of Possession of Controlled Substances with Intent to Sell on June 21.
A Camden County Deputy stopped the vehicle on U.S. Highway 54 in Camdenton for erratic driving at approximately 2:54 a.m.
Subsequent investigation found suspected marijuana in the vehicle.
Approximately 135 grams of suspected marijuana were seized. Missouri State Statutes make possession of more than 35 grams a felony.
Arrested were:
1. Megan L. Ireland, 19, of Camdenton, is charged with 1 count of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell. Bond was set in the amount of $35,000.00 and a court date of July 23, 2009. Ireland posted bond and was released.
2. Jonathan H. Lentz, 20, of Camdenton, is charged with 1 count of Possession of Controlled Substances with Intent to Sell, and 8 misdemeanor warrants for Failure to appear. The Possession charge bond is $35,000.00 and the total for the 7 misdemeanor warrants from Miller and Camden counties, and the cities of Lake Ozark and Osage Beach is $3175. A court date of June 30, 2009 has been set in the Associate Circuit Court of Camden County.
3. Kevin E. Cowart Jr., 29, of Camdenton, is charged with 1 count of Possesion of a Controlled Substance, and 1 count of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell. Bond has been set by the Associate Circuit Court of Camden County in the amount of $36,000.00 with a court date of June 29, 2009.
