A crisp wind wasn’t enough to stop some lake area residents from stopping by to pie their favorite Lake Ozark police officer or fire fighter.

The first ever Lake Ozark Pie Fly was held Sunday, Oct. 25 in the Paul’s Supermarket parking lot in Lake Ozark.

Visitors had the chance to throw a pie at a Lake Ozark police officer or fire fighter for a donation.

School of the Osage cheerleaders also stopped by to paint designs on children’s faces, some of which were full-face jack-o’-lanterns.

The event raised more than $1,000. Proceeds raised will go toward the Lake Ozark police and fire departments, who said they hope to make this an annual event.
