A Thursday night accident on Route 5 at Route J left a Stover man with serious injuries when the car he was riding in struck another car attempting to make a left-hand turn, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Ricky D. Erichsen, 26, was riding in a 1991 Chevrolet driven by Patrick D. Days, 29, of Laurie, heading southbound on Route 5, when a 1993 Ford, driven be Herbie L. Murdock, 49, of Gravois Mills, attempted a left turn onto Route J and pulled into the Chevy’s path.
Murdock received moderate injuries and was also taken to Lake Regional Hospital.
Neither Erichsen or Murdock were reported as wearing seat belts. Days, who sustained minor injuries, was.
