A MEGA-SLICE Towable Tube was stolen from a business in Osage Beach sometime between midnight and 7:30 a.m. on June 23.
The towable tube is 100 inches in diameter (deflated size). The tube is described as having 5 boarding straps to grab onto, 8 deluxe handles with neoprene knuckle guards for up to 4 riders.
Not many of these have been sold in the lake area, according to an Osage Beach Police Department release.
Many items are stolen because victims give the thieves the opportunity, the release says. Bicycles, lawn implements, trailers, ornaments, display items, etc. are stolen regularly because they are not properly secured.
A simple lock and chain are easily defeated by bolt cutters. If you don’t want your property stolen, think about what steps you need to take to prevent that from happening.
