Deputies from the Camden County Sheriff's Office and the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group executed a search warrant at a residence on Swaying Oaks Drive in Roach Oct. 14.
The search warrant was the result of a joint investigation of the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force and the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group.
As a result of the search warrant, a quantity of marijuana and a distributable quantity of methamphetamine was seized.
Arrested at the scene was the owner/occupant of the residence, Joseph A. Menzel, 43, of Roach. Mr. Menzel is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, and a misdemeanor probation violation. The Associate Circuit Court of Camden County has set bond in the amount of $7,500 for the probation violation. No bond was allowed on the narcotics violation. A court date of 10-20-09 has been set.
A female suspect was arrested Oct. 15 at the same residence. Kelly D. Jones, 46, of Sunrise Beach, is charged with one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, and one misdemeanor probation violation. The Associate Circuit Court of Camden County did not allow bond on either charge. A court date of 10-20-09 was also set.
