Osage Beach Mayor Penny Lyons released a statement today responding to the recent court decision in the lawsuit involving the city over the Hammons project TIF ordinance.

"We are very pleased with Judge Drumm's decision in the Hammons lawsuit. The court's decision vindicated the actions of the city and the developer. The court's judgement clearly shows that the city and the developer acted properly and within the law. The court specifically found that the evidence supports the finding that the property was blighted.

"We look forward to Mr. Hammons building a new hotel in Osage Beach in the heart of the Lake of the Ozarks. It will be a substantial valued addition to our community."

A copy of the court ruling is available on the city's Web site, www.osagebeach.org.
