Slippery conditions from the region’s first snowfall of the season caused at least one injury crash last night in Morgan County.

Sixteen-year-old Jose L. Rangel of Camdenton suffered injuries described as moderate in the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. He was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment.

Rangel was a passenger in a 2000 Buick Regal that struck a tree along Highway 135 around 8:45 p.m. Nov. 8, 2018. Noah W. Whittle, 19, of Stover was the driver. He did not have injuries reported.

According to the crash report, the Buick slid and the driver to overcorrected and went off the roadway. The rear portion of the car struck a tree. 

The car was described as totaled and was towed from the scene. 

The crash occurred about one-half mile south of State Route J.
