Garneta L. Waisner, age 98, of Climax Springs, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Lincoln Community Care Center in Lincoln, Missouri. She was born on January 15, 1920 in Strasburg, Missouri the daughter of Frank W.A. Fleming and Mallah Iola (Crayton) Fleming. She graduated from Central Missouri State University in 1941 and began teaching business courses at Climax Springs R-4.
On April 18, 1942 she was united in marriage to Charles T. Waisner, Jr. in Climax Springs. Following their marriage they made their home in Climax Springs.
She taught for thirty years and had a large impact on the community. She also played the piano for all weddings, funeral and school functions. She loved teaching and helping students grow into productive adults.
She is survived by her daughter Mallah J. Buell Garnier and her husband Jon of Edwards, Missouri, a step granddaughter Denise Brown, of Columbia, Missouri, a grandson Timothy F. Buell, of Deland, Florida, a great grandson Levi Franklin Buell, of Chipley, Florida, three great-great grandchildren; Adilynn Buell, Abigail Buell and Lucas Brown.
Arrangements for her cremation are under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Climax Springs Alumni Scholarship Fund c/o the Great Southern Bank P.O. Box 8 Climax Springs, Missouri 65324.
