Looming above the Halloween themed wonderland is the cave itself, painted as a cheery large jack o lantern smiling down on the valley.

The lake area offers endless fall fun every weekend this time of year.  It can be hard to choose which event to participate in.  One activity that is fun for all ages is The Cave Pumpkin Patch located on Swinging Bridges Road in Brumley.  For adults the hayride, grown up slide, and pumpkin patch are enjoyable.  For tots to teens, the options are many.  Water balloon cannons and paintball are fun for all ages.  Mark and Joyce Beabout and their staff of family members have done a fantastic job of keeping the grounds drained and safe from the rains and mud.

Looming above the Halloween themed wonderland is the cave itself, painted as a cheery large jack o lantern smiling down on the valley.  An accessible ramp climbs up to the cave entrance, and the cave itself features a large room opening to a natural stalactite pool in the rear.  Kid caving gear is available for purchase in the gift shop below, such as plastic spelunking hats, and lanterns.

Activities on site are bounce houses, inflatable slides, a barrel train, mini golf, a large corn hole area, hay maze, sand boxes, among many other fun adventures.

There are indoor and outdoor play areas, with the large hall and gift shop featuring air conditioning and restrooms.

In the snack shop is a kid friendly store, with child size pumpkins and gourds available for $1.00 that can be decorated with markers and taken home.

If you choose to get a little dirty, you can tromp into the pumpkin field and literally pick your own pumpkin off the vine.  However, there are previously cut beauties placed at the end of each row for your convenience if you opt to not enter the fields.   A big hay trailer offers rides around the pumpkin patch.

Water balloon cannons, and paint balls are a small extra fee.  Snacks and drinks are available for purchase.  All the add on options are modestly priced.  The gift shop has products from local vendors available for purchase. The entire pumpkin patch fun center is $6.00 per person, and 2 years old and under are free.  Cash only is accepted.  They are open Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 5pm through October. Pumpkins harvested from the on-site pumpkin patch, mums, and gourds are also available for purchase.  Big T’s BBQ will be serving dinners there Oct 13th and Oct 14th, and Oct 27th, and Oct 28th.
