Robert Coffey, 62, of Lebanon, and Timothly Cox, 53, of Lake St. Louis, were involved in a collision with a watercraft at the 14.9 mile marker on Big Niangua Arm September 29, 2018.

A collision involving two boats results in serious injuries for a Lebanon man.

Robert Coffey, 62, of Lebanon, and Timothly Cox, 53, of Lake St. Louis, were involved in a collision with a watercraft at the 14.9 mile marker on Big Niangua Arm September 29, 2018.

The boats were approaching each other head on Saturday at 8:40 p.m. Both boats turned in the same direction to avoid a collision. The boat Cox was driving went over the top of the boat Coffey was driving.

Coffey had serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital.

Cox had no injuries.

The boat Coffey was driving had extensive damage. The boat Cox was driving had minor injuries.

Trooper S.D. Bledsoe investigated the accident. Sergeant S.M. Burgun assisted in the accident.
