Scott Pierson, 45, of Four Seasons, and Konnor Obert, 29, of Bloomington, IL, were involved in a two-boat accident on Lake of the Ozarks. The accident occurred on Sun., Sept. 23, 2018 at mile marker 15.8.

A collision with a watercraft leads to charges for an Illinois man.

Scott Pierson, 45, of Four Seasons, and Konnor Obert, 29, of Bloomington, IL, were involved in a two-boat accident on Lake of the Ozarks. The accident occurred on Sun., Sept. 23, 2018 at mile marker 15.8.

The boat Pierson was driving was struck from behind by the boat Obert was driving. The forward starboard bow of the boat Obert was driving struck the port transom of the boat Pierson was driving.

Pierson had minor injuries and did not seek treatment. Both boats involved had moderate damage and were driven from the scene.

Both drivers were not wearing a safety device.

Obert was arrested and released Sunday. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol online arrest report, Obert was charged with Operate a Motorboat in a C&I Manner and Leaving the Scene of a Boat Crash, Felony.

The arrest was made at 10:10 p.m. in Camden County.

Corporal S.L. Mosher investigated the accident. Trooper M.R. Lawson and Sergeant C. Daniels assisted in the accident.
