Lake Regional Health System welcomes Teresa Buol, FNP-C, to Lake Regional Urology. Buol works closely with Lake Regional urologists Bradley Connett, M.D., and Eric McQueary, D.O., to offer diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the male and female urinary tracts and the male reproductive organs.
“We are pleased to have Nurse Practitioner Teresa Buol at Lake Regional Urology,” said Michael Burcham, vice president of Lake Regional Physician Practices. “She has more than 25 years of nursing experience and has spent the last several years caring for patients in Lake Regional’s Emergency Department. Our urology patients will benefit from her kind, personalized approach to health care.”
Buol said she knew from an early age that she wanted a career in medicine because she wanted to help people.
“The relationship built with a total stranger during a time of need is very rewarding,” Buol said. “If I can make someone’s day brighter while leading the patient to wellness, my job has been well done.” Buol has a special interest in women’s urinary health and providing treatment of urinary incontinence, pelvic floor weakness and recurrent urinary tract infections.
“These conditions can be very frustrating and life-altering,” she said. “I look forward to helping patients, women and men, improve their quality of life.”
Originally from a small town in southern Illinois, Buol worked at hospitals there for 10 years. She moved to the lake full time in 2003 and served in Lake Regional’s Emergency Department. Buol and her husband, Brian, live in Osage Beach and have a blended family with five children. The Buols also have an English mastiff named Optimus.
