Ivories and Harmonies, a musical performance will be held in the Community Christian Church, located at 1604 N. Business 5, Camdenton, on Sunday, September 30, at 2 p.m.

Ivories and Harmonies, a musical performance will be held in the Community Christian Church, located at 1604 N. Business 5, Camdenton, on Sunday, September 30, at 2 p.m.

Organists and pianists will perform either solo or as accompaniment for other featured instruments or voices. The musical styles will represent both historical and current music literature. Well-known artists will include Candace Hagan, Elizabeth Doney, Vanessa Hebrank, and Margo Strothman. Additional instrumentalists and vocalists will complete the roster of performers. The focus of the event is classical and sacred music, though modern and popular music will also be a part of the program.

The Master of Ceremonies for the event will be Emily Mensendiek, a semi-retired high school theater, communications and English director and teacher. She is currently the chairman of the Performing Arts Committee of the Lake Arts Council, supported in part by the Missouri Arts Council.

Donations will be gratefully accepted to further the year round promotion of performing, visual and literary arts the Lake Arts Council provides within Miller, Morgan and Camden counties. A reception will follow.
