UPDATE: Tri-County FPD was dispatched at 12:27 hours Tuesday, September 4, 2018 to a plane crash at Richland Municipal Airport. Units arrived at 12:33 and found an aircraft on its roof with two patients that had self extricated. One patient was transported by helicopter to the hospital and one patient refused care.

Today representatives from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) met with Richland Police and Tri-County FPD at the scene. They have conducted their investigation and crews assisted with uprighting the aircraft and moving it to the apron.

INITIAL REPORT: Tri-County Fire Protection District is reporting small plane crash at the Richland airport.

Chief 1301, Squad 1371, Squad 1394 and Pumper/Tanker 1351 are on scene at the Richland Municipal Airport where a Cessna with two occupants has crashed, according to a brief statement from TCFPD. One occupant has been transported by helicopter to the hospital and the other has refused care.

Units are remaining on scene awaiting further guidance from the FAA.
