Freida Bernice (Wallace) Wallis, 101, of Tuscumbia passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Miller County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia.

Freida Bernice (Wallace) Wallis, 101, of Tuscumbia passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Miller County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia.

She was born on February 9, 1917 in Linn Creek, Missouri the daughter of James Oliver and Annie Octavia (West) Wallace, who preceded her in death. She was united in marriage on January 29, 1936 in Lebanon, Missouri to Raymond Lee Wallis, who preceded her in death on March 11, 1995.

She was a lifelong resident of Miller, Morgan and Camden Counties. She was a wonderful homemaker for her husband and children. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and was a member of the Ninth Street Christian Church in Eldon.

Freida enjoyed growing beautiful floral gardens and playing with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Most of all, she loved her family and the memories they made will be forever cherished and loved.

She is survived by four sons: Jerry Wallis of Ottawa, Kansas, George Wallis of Facuett, Missouri, Larry Wallis of Wilburton, Oklahoma and Curtis Wallis of Eldon; two daughters: Connie Henley of Eldon and Deborah Hartley of Jacksonville, Florida; 21 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter: Phyllis Wallis; three grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Ninth Street Christian Church. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Ninth Street Christian Church with Rev. Chris Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Cemetery in Linn Creek, Missouri. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Ninth Street Christian Church or Hospice Compassus.
