Funeral Service for Bo will be held Thursday, July 26, 2018, at 2:00 P.M., at Family Church (1450 Tower Rd. Lebanon, Missouri 65536) Visitation will begin at 12:00 until service time, also at the church.
Burial will be at Mount Rose Memorial Park. Memorials have been suggested to Family Church Youth fund and donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O. Box 948 or 1001 N. Lynn Lebanon, MO 65536.
Survivors include his wife Betty; five children, J.T. Dorris and his fiancée Melissa Riedel of Jefferson City, MO, Nick Dorris and his fiancée Maraya White of Camdenton, MO, Chris Thomas and his wife Jenny of Springfield, MO, Carrie Smallwood and her husband Billy, also of Springfield, MO, and Tyler Schindler and his wife Sarah of Panama City Beach, FL; his parents, Jim and Carolyn Dorris of Linn Creek, MO; two brothers, Joe Dorris and his wife Kim of Lebanon, MO, and David Dorris and his fiancée Cassondra Wynn of Laurie, MO; five grandchildren, Makenzie and Ian Thomas, Adara Dorris, Liam Smallwood, and Braiden White; nieces and nephews, Kaylee Jo, Kyle, Paige, Kolby, Chance, Stevie Dakota, Matt, Nick, Ashlee, Devin, Danielle and Dax; great-niece, Amiah Chew; uncle and aunt, “Buzz” and Pam Shoemaker of Madison, MS; maternal grandparents, George and Beverly Merritt of Kissimmee, FL; maternal grandmother, Verbie Shoemaker of Morton, MS; mother-in-law, Ruby Huelskamp of Lebanon, MO; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Joli Huelskamp of Williamsburg, VA, Rose and Bill Myhre of Lebanon, MO, Charlie and Brenda Huelskamp of Liberty, MO and Katherine and Scott Huelskamp of Lindale, TX numerous cousins; other relatives; church family; and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Yvonne Shoemaker; one brother, Vince DeVos; paternal grandmother, Mary Dorris Toland; paternal grandfather, Darrell T. Dorris; maternal grandfather, Devon Shoemaker; and father-in-law, Robert Huelskamp.
