Three Lake area residents were among four arrested south of Versailles Monday in a joint drug investigation by the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force.
James Wood, 36, of Sunrise Beach was charged with second degree drug trafficking and is being held in the Morgan County jail in lieu of a $75,000 cash or surety bond. Jessa Porter, 20, of Gravois Mills was charged with felony drug possession with a bond of $5,000 cash or surety. Out on a pre-trial release for a charge of drug possession, Regan Porter, 41, of Versailles had her bond revoked as did Henry Hicks, 64, of Warrensburg. Hicks was out on pre-trial release for a change of failure to register as a sex offender.
According to a press release from the MCSO, deputies searched a residence in the 12000 block of Countryside Lane on July 16 for illegal drugs and evidence of fraud. Officers seized approximately 34 grams of methamphetamine and associated drug paraphernalia.
